It's been a fun 24 hours and Squeak is now on to the next step of his recovery!
Saved these baby birds after they fell from their nest
Saved these baby birds after they fell from their nest
Tom and I were temporarily the proud parents of little Harold, an orphaned baby mouse. However, Lemmy decided we were unfit parents and we were forced to surrender him to a local wildlife rehab center.
Gotta love life ❤️
Yes, I am that person who will run out into an intersection and stop traffic in order to save innocent baby animals. And to the woman in the black Suburban who deliberately ran over this sweet little angel’s sibling, may you live a tortured existence ☹️. This tiny orphan is in good hands at the @wrcmn in Roseville and will eventually be released back to the wild 😊. What a wonderful organization to support if you can :) 🦆 🐥
Animal lovers can rest easy knowing Dr. Leslie Reed is on duty at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota. As the director of veterinary of education she's created a dentistry practice and cultivated a specialty in turtle shell repair. Her favorite animal? The "adorable" and "misunderstood" opossum. Poor baby Cardinal was saved. Tony found him on the ground and put him back in the nest (because that is what you should do) we waited for mom's return. Unfortunately she didn't come back even hours later and we decided to take him inside as the temperature dropped and the mosquitoes were eating him alive. We brought him to the experts so he can get the care he needs. #cardinal #pleasealwaystrytoputthebabybackfirst
Bring your kid to work lunch break 💙☀️🦆🐢🦋🦗🐝 We were there at the right time and got to see a mallard being released.... 🦆🦆🦆🦆❤️Harriet Alexander Nature Center
We brought Chirpy to the wildlife rehabilitation center.
My neighbor found this poor baby in the street. So I took it to the Wildlife Rehab center with the hopes it will have a second chance!
🎧NEW PODCAST🎧 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Question 60 // Can An Emergency Hospital For Wild Animals Help Clarify Your Life Mission? (feat. Phil Jenni) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Phil Jenni is the Executive Director for @wrcmn , a non-profit organization and veterinary clinic for wild animals located IN THE METRO! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I originally reached out to Phil after I saw a facebook post that was shared by my friend @mikemichelmusic (Question #35 ) to talk about the organization and to learn more about the fascinating work they’re doing at MNWRC, but as soon as we started talking, I realized I had far more to learn from Phil outside of just wildlife. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How did a Tudor historian with a background in Elizabethan Expansion end up becoming an Executive Director of this non-profit? Why does he think that if we can’t find enough people to support what we do in life, we SHOULD be out of business? And why do I need to take the time to clarify my “elevator mission”? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🎧 Link In Bio: @therobmorgan 🎧
Brought an injured bird to @wrcmn and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and full moon over the marsh!
It's that time of year... When 30 degrees pretty much feels like 70
Please go volunteer or make a donation to The Wildlife rehabilitation center of Minnesota, they are a non profit focused on direct medical care of wildlife. They strive to get the animals healthy and ready to be release back into the wild. I made a donation today and will be volunteering my time in the near future. Please join me in helping support this wonderful place and all the wildlife they save. Many thanks🦇 #wildlife #volunteer #helpanimals #helptheanimals #blessings
What’s it like to be the same height as the snow banks
We took BundleBee and Mary Hadda to @wrcmn ‘s open house today. They both had x-rays. BundleBee was treated for a fractured wing and Mary Hadda needed a leg bandage. The vets and staff were very thorough and kind. BBee and Ms. Hadda are now at home recuperating. #wrcmn #wildlife #wildanimalvet #minnesota #openhouse #wildanimals #kids
Making the most of MN winter by visiting the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of MN. I discovered this place when we had an injured squirrel in our yard that needed care. They examined Violet’s mouse, complete with an x ray and bandage. Such a great place!
Saw a group of deer bounding around across from WRC after dropping Leggy Sweetheart off for volunteer shift. I *might* be projecting but they seemed really psyched that the polar vortex was over. One of them yelled “Wööt!” and another answered with “eff yeahhhh!”
Workin that pause game. Doubles cos LHS delt didn’t want to rep. Fuckin’ injuries! Your muscle and strength wants to grow, but your tendons and ligaments say no! Ended up with pause double top set PB, and tng double pb (I think). Need to get my bench game back up to the 200s+ again 🤬🤬🤬 #liftingtoimpressjamjam #jamstrengthsno1fan
Short and super cold walk over the frozen marsh to take in the Super Wolf Moon rising. Nice planet.
Even the tiniest lives deserve our care and respect. ♥️ We brought Bob, the little toad that’s been wintering in our basement, to Wildlife Rehab today. Good luck, toad! Thanks to WRC for the amazing work they do!
This is a great Sunday. ✨
Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
only took him along so he could fight my way through the hoards of Black Friday shoppers...

the pups, boardwalk!
After 400+ hours at the MN Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, my internship has officially ended. These are just a few of the mammals that I had the pleasure of helping rehabilitate. The WRC will definitely see more of me. ((Photo Credit: WRC))
Day game for the fallen
350+ hours later & I’ve finally completed my Mammal Nursery internship 🦝🐾
Out for a messy-haired walk at my favorite local walking spot!
Festival stop one: Wild Rice Festival! Fry bread taco 🌮
Successful mornings defined. . 1. Early morning squirrel rescue. Thank you @wrcmn for being here! [That’s baby squirrels there in the bucket and my #äventyrthesocial Prototype at their side.] 2. Early morning treats for celebrating the squirrels. Thank you @almampls for being here! [And special shout out to Caroline for the unsolicited kind comments on The Social!🙏🏻🙆🏻♀️. Made my already good day 1000 times better!]. . Anyone can post product pictures, but if you want to know what’s really behind a brand, dig deeper. If you really want to know what äventyr is about, it’s this. We care about animals, good people, and good food. . Thank you to the people (and animals) who make our community special ~ which is every single person @wrcmn and @almampls that I interacted with today. . Yesterday when I was volunteering @amswedinstitute a woman from Texas said to me that Minnesota was on her ‘bucket list’ to visit “because everyone I have ever met from here was so nice.” She is right. . Not everyone chooses to live here, but maybe you dig the vibe of The North and want to be part of it in your own way. 💁🏻♀️Might we suggest being part of the äventyr family?...(even if for now it is following us here or subscribing to our newsletter.🙋🏻♀️). . . . #äventyrcc #äventyrthesocial #almampls #wrcmn #squirrelrescue #wildliferehabilitationcenter #äventyrccinspiration #lifeofacyclist #animalrescue #thisismyminnesota #teamnorth #onlyinmn #madeinmn #madeinmpls #minnesotalife #bekind #truthbehindthegram
Teaching the kids all living beings are worthy of respect, love, and care. This poor little guy couldn't fly and was soaking wet in the rain in front of our house. I found him coming home from shopping with Chase. I dropped what I was doing to rush him to the wildlife rehab center with a towel to help dry him. They just told me there is something definitely wrong with him and he will be receiving the care he needs 💗 maybe we will meet again #wildlifematters #smallrescue #neverstopcaring #bird #hislifematters
we saved a little life... this sweet tiny baby was in the walking path at Lake Calhoun, unmoving, blending perfectly into the concrete and nearly trampled. We revived him with a little water which he sucked from my finger, and brought him to the wildlife rehabilitation center in Roseville. The bebes named him Stevie. #savinglives #tinybaby #animalsareourfriends
a lovely walking trail
Thank you to everyone who followed the #mprraccoon story on MPR News, and especially to those of you who purchased a t-shirt. The proceeds will support the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota (WRC). On August 2nd the WRC acknowledged that community support and celebrated the release of rehabbed young green herons. MPR Staff members Angie Andresen, Lily Marek and Tim Post of @MPRNews opened the door for one of these freshly healthy birds. Find @wrcmn’s full Facebook Live video shared on facebook.com/MinnesotaPublicRadio
So fun to be in the audience as four green herons were released into the wild over the lunch hour today. @wrcmn has been helping them grow this summer, and they were excited to be free! Image alt text: A long, thin bird flying low off a dock over algae-covered water. One of the two people who released it is kneeling next to the animal carrier it just left.
Saved some baby ducks ❤️❤️
I rescued a baby bird today. What did you do with your day?
Out for a walk and discovered these cool tiles among the ferns!
A beautiful, foggy morning
Yay!! The little bunny made it through the night and this morning I successfully dropped him off at Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in the cities. He’s in good hands now 🙏🏻 In a few days I’ll email and see how he pulled through. Rescuing this little guy has been such a wonderful feeling and no matter the outcome, I know I did good and helped as much as I could! 😊 #HeMadeIt #HesInGoodHands #GoodFeelings #AllAnimalsMatter
A few weeks ago I had a harrowing experience with a family of ducks trying to cross an interstate in the city. I fully stopped to let them pass, and watched as some people heeded my flashing brakes, while others did not. I like to think because of my actions most of them made it across, yet I still can’t get the image out of my head of the final baby who did not make it thanks to a callous trucker who ignored the rest of the stopped traffic. This spurred me to find another volunteer opportunity, one with @wrcmn where I will be providing care to orphaned baby wildlife. I get to start this awesome opportunity TODAY. Hooray for new adventures while helping animals in need. #wildlife #wildliferehabilitation #volunteering #makeadifference #makeachange #itsthesimplethings #timetogetmyhandsdirty #minnesotasummer #babyanimals
I’m nervous for rahs next year but I’m also so ready for a school that’s not Calvin!
